trafficWelcome to my blog post in which I will explain the 5 easy steps to get set up and start promoting affiliate products on Clickbank. With over 10,000 digital product vendors and 100,000 active affiliates Clickbank is the perfect place to find great products and services that you can promote. The benefits of selling other people’s products as oppose to your own are endless. It’s a fairly easy way to make passive income, you don’t have to worry about the pain of customer complaints and there’s minimal risk involved. These are just some of the benefits of becoming an affiliate marketeer.
So you have decided you want to set up an affiliate account with Clickbank. What should you do now to start selling?
5 steps to get set up on Clickbank
1. Set up your clickbank account
It’s very easy to set up your Clickbank account. Click here to go straight to the sign up page, then add in your preferred account details. You will need to enter your location, your contact information, your account information and then accept the client contract. Then click on the button that says “Submit Account Registration”. You should receive an email from Clickbank very shortly.
2. Go to Marketplace
Once you have verified your account, log in and head over to the top right-hand corner and click on the link “Marketplace”. Here you will be able to find all the products or services that you can start to promote. Once you get set up on Clickbank, this will be the most used section of your Clickbank account. In the Marketplace you should see a screen that looks like the image below.
3. Find the right product for you
There are two ways that you can search for a product. The most common way is by searching through categories. This can be a good idea, especially if you have a website that has a specific niche. Say, like me, your site explained ways of earning passive income online maybe you would want to promote things like The Millionaire’s Brain or Google Sniper for example. Finding the right product this way can be quite difficult to understand at first. For example, if we choose a very impressive Clickbank product called “Google Sniper” we can see that there are a number of different stats associated with the product (as seen in the image below). If you would like to find out how to pick the best products on Clickbank I would recommend reading thr article – How To Pick The Perfect Clickbank Product to Promote. It tells you what the different stats really mean.
Here you can find a list of the top 6 Clickbank products to promote in 2016. It can help you find top performers so you don’t have to waste your time testing failures.
4. Start promoting your product
Now you have found the perfect product to promote it’s time to start selling it. All you need to do is click on the red button that says “promote” and add your tracking ID to the pop-up box that appears. If you’re not sure what the tracking ID is you should read this Clickbank support page. Then, you should see one link and one HTML code. There isn’t too much difference between the two but I always use the top one. The second one just gives you a snippet of code that you can implement in to the coding of your website.
Sometimes you will need more than just a link to promote Clickbank products. I will now show you what to do if you need banners in order to promote your affiliate products.
5. Find a banner for your product
You will also need a banner. If you are lucky, your merchant will have set up a vendor spotlight page which will look like a kind of lamp icon in the bottom part of each merchant’s fragment. You should be able to locate it, as shown in the image over to the right. If you see this icon you should be able to find a link just under the “Promote” button. Clicking on that link will take you to the merchant’s Vendor Spotlight page where you should be able to find some banners.
If you can’t find any banners for the product that you really want to promote you can always just take them from Google Images. Sometimes if I am desperate to promote a specific product I will go to Google Images, type in the name of the product with the word “banners” and click on the image I feel could be attractive for potential customers. Then I click on “View Image”, right click on the image and select “copy image address” (normally I always use Google Chrome for this). And there you go, you have the image address for your next banner. It should be a http link ending in “.gif” for example.
